Where is everybody? There is hardly any action going on here lately? We finally have a website where we can talk about any vendor. Without some overzealous website owner freaking out. I'd really hate to lose this site. Come on people. ;D

Believe me when I say i'm always here....Always here! For some reason, everything is slow right now, maybe the holidays, which by the way....Happy Holidays, but it is dead everywhere. I've seen alot more newer people or newer screen names as of recent also. I'm here, but I'm going thru a move right now , can't wait to get back started on the ol' ride. That would make me happy. I just found out yesterday that my closing date and moving in date have been moved up almost an entire month, so to me, that was one of the best presents this year for next year(weird statement) because the sooner I can get crackin on the ride. Anyway...You guys and women take care now...
Happy Holidays Marc

Yes I have noticed the other two kitt replica sites are not as active as they use to be. But this place has been really quiet and I don't think the holidays is the cause. I wonder if the reason is because we have certain vendors whining and crying that someone has stolen there work and now selling the product. Some of these vendors act like they should be the only ones allowed to sell kitt replica parts. I think it should be a free for all. Only the ones that make crappy parts and take your money and give you nothing should be closed down.

Funny you guys mention the slowness of this site. I'm a newbie (as many of you know) and I stopped coming here for almost a month now because I really wasn't getting very many views / responses to my posts when compared to the other forum. Curiosity just had me check tonight. I'll do my best in the future to post here and help others out as much as possible.
Side note about the vendors since you mentioned them - as fantastic as they ALL are, I really wish some of them would stay in better contact with me. Many have gone above and beyond with status updates several times week. Others, not so much. I'm always having to contact them myself to find out what's going on...and do so only when their estimated delivery dates come and go by a week. I've got almost $3000 invested into one popular vendor who said he'd have my stuff in three weeks. That was early Nov. Now he's not even responding to the handful of status request emails I sent him this past week.
Don't get me wrong - if it takes longer to deliver...that's perfectly fine. I don't mind waiting. But at least TELL me what's going on and why there is a delay on your own without me (the customer) always taking the initiative.
Just venting here, that's all. I love all of our vendors and completely respect everything and everyone who takes part in this hobby - whether just converting or building and selling other parts, you guys are all fantastic. The vendors themselves are ALL great in the own way…as they help us attain our childhood dreams. Just a little more up-front communication on their end for some would be a nice added touch.

Uh oh I sure hope you did your research before you sent out your hard earned money to anyone. Now I had to wait for a year for my scanner to arrived. I wasn't worried alittled annoyed maybe. But the wait was worth it. So if this doesn't work out let us all know. Vendors have gone down hill in the past. And we certainly don't want to see anybody else get burned.

At least for me, the lack of posting comes from the lack of monetary resources to continue the project. I generally have nothing to post about...haha. I do stop by and read this board as well as others a couple of times a day. I figure I can still learn a lot from everyone in the down time.

Hey common now Knight - you should be working on the car rain or shine cold or hot. I was in our garage yesterday where it's probably no more than 25 degrees F. Just bundle up with layers and you should be good to go!
