knightridersautomotive.com
I found them in a simple google search. There parts seem almost too good to be true. A season 4 bumper (completed painted glass black by the way) is only about $600.00 with free shipping. A deal!?? Or something to avoid?
Not really looking for 'opinions' here...but morseo facts. If anyone has worked with them in the past, I'd love to hear your feedback. THANKS GANG!

See, the good thing about being involved in a hobby for so long is being able to tell the crap from the good . We are lucky these boards exist, so we can steer people away from less than spectacular items. Every "knight rider" related picture from that site is stolen from knight replicas database. If they are legit and produce a good, honest product, why not show your actual product? Mmmmmmm...something smells fishy!!!! I can guarantee most of those parts are coming from a guy named Robert Yancey who is not recommended for knight rider parts. Don't waste your hard earned cash on that trash. Joey.

Thanks guys. KNEW it was too good to be true. So thus, my search continues! See, the hardest part about this hobby so far in my eyes, aside from the finances, is the waiting time. I've always been one who doesn't like waiting for things. When I get them, I take my time and do things right...so rushing isn't the issue. But I've learned that bumpers, for example, (from quality vendors anyway) take at LEAST 6 months from order to arrival ... and that just STINKS!! Kinda wish these guys would develop more of a 'stockpile' of things...but I do understand how quality then becomes affected. So it's a double-edged sword. Just rambling here...but I sure some of you guys might feel the same to some extent. THANKS AGAIN!

It's not that the quality would be affected so much as it is the parts aren't exactly cheap to produce. That, and this is a niche market. That's why your good vendors take the time. A) because if they were to produce parts on a daily basis, rather than by an order basis, they might get stuck with some parts and end up having to take a loss on them. B) Some of the good "hobbyist vendors" (ie; guys with jobs other than making Knight Rider parts) simply don't have the amount of time to spend cranking out parts.
I will give you one simple reminder that I live by when it comes to building a car....."Rome wasn't built in a day". Really, would you rather wait longer for a good quality piece, or have one in a week that is a POS? Building ANY car takes time and patience. You don't want to rush things. If a guy is building a street rod and orders a fiberglass body, he might have to wait over a year! So six months doesn't seem like that long now does it?
As for the vendor in question...Isn't that Shave? Good guy to stay away from....

Isn't this vendor that Wyatt guy that lives in Northern California? I know he's not liked on the other two kitt replica sites. But those sites are one vendor sites anyways. The main reason I have a Robert Yancey nose on my kitt replica. Is because the bumper was a two and a half hour drive from where I lived. I didn't want to be one of the many who have been royally screwed in the past.

No, Wyatt is still out in Cali as far as I know. Shave or Sher I thought were in the Carolinas... Don't quote me on that for sure though.
And thanks joe. I try my best to give people informed information from either experience or knowledge I've gained.
